Give it a go!

I like the saturation and wet/dry controls. Very warm (for want of a better word) sounding.

Re: Delay plugins

Since I use Cubase, I use the standard DAWdelay plugings but when I need to have a more advance plugin I use Fabfilter Timeless 2. The plugin is very versatile and you can automate the filters. Also there is LFO, ADSR and XY control which you can drag on every slider, fader or knob.

Re: Delay plugins

I´m also looking for a new versatile Delay plugin...Does anyone of you know a delay vst, that is capable of accelarating or slowing down the delay time (Each single delay getting faster/slower)? Preferable in sync to host tempo - Perfect would be if it had a step sequencer, that is able to control the delay time as well...

Thx in advance

DlayR has one that is quite good for step based delays..Earbound is not too shabby.D16's Sigmund is a fav of mine for that style of delay..for multi delays I use Waves upers Tap or Nomad's Blue Tube;s DL3D delay. The PSP-42 and 85 are my normal delays along with other Waves or SoftTube..just depends on what I am after.

Agreed! Love the Waves-H delay...has that analog knob on the bottom right for some extra tape distortion simulation.

Provided your DAW can automate, which I don't know of any that can't, any delay out there is capible of this. Start with whatever you have already and just automate the time, or rate depending on how its noted in your plugin, and there you go.

I'd like to give a heads-up for [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click here to register]

It's a very nice delay with some uncommon features such as the freq shifter and the reverse mixer.

And my new favorite is the Bitwig delay-2. With the ability to put other vsts inside the feedback path you can make the sickest sounds.

I'm a huge fan of Echoboy. I mostly use it for simple delays, but it gets very deep when you need to experiment.

Re: Delay plugins

A while back I picked up Unfiltered Audio's Sandman delay. It has a few different, more unique options on it. It has some cool buffer controls, sample rate control for the buffer, its own LFOs and a cool "sleep" mode which is kinda almost like a granular looper (it basically loops the buffer while in sleep mode). I really haven't dug into the cooler aspects, I just find it straight forward and low CPU for a straightforward stereo delay. The "dirt" mode is right up my alley with a low sample rate.

Re: Delay plugins

I've used Waves H-Delay as my go to for some time. Wet/ Dry all on one control so might not meet the OP's needs however.

Sounds great, lovely effects by changing tempo and times whilst it's already working too. Never used a tape delay but I'm it's guessing similar.

Not that I've used a real one, but yea, that is reminiscent of a tape delay.
