It's a shame you spilled that. It sounds like it would have been a good song before it got borked.

The tuning in this is pretty sexy. Love when the tension releases and the beat gets rolling. Perhaps let that roll another 8 bars? On the fence whether the bass(ish) sound in the break works in this track (good sound design though). Otherwise I could hear this being laid into a crazy club mix. Mix is solid so far. Good lows, comfortable mids.

Re: [808/bass/moist] fidelium - *.wav

What Jazzy said..my first thoughts hearing it were it would sound really cool if it were expanded out into a more fuller track, with almost a contradictory style under it, something like NIN's sound..ya know the kind of subtle yet epic sounds Reznor usually has running through his stuff. That's just what popped into my head at the time and obviously you know what you're going for and the sound you want to get across..so don't take any of that as being critical of what you have here already.

Nice work, dude..good to see you getting back into the spirit of things and posting stuff up again.

This is fucking excellent.

It's 'outside-genre-ness' is never unpleasant, it does all it's own 'musical housework' as it cycles onward and has everything a listener might need to hold a narrative.

It's almost... theme and variation EDM, but I've never in my life heard it done properly before, (except for Aphex twin, and in an abstract context rather than an actual context like this).

I drunkenly want to make this sound have babies with Techno.

This track would be fucking rad if you dropped it live, sooo engaging. Mix sounds fine on my end for what that's worth. Really neat!!!!!

hey thanks a lot homie I appreciate the words.

I come from a perspective of needing to insert theme and variation into almost everything I write so I'm glad I conveyed it that way to you. a lot of it is looking at me construction from a song-writing standpoint but I definitely have the idea of sonota form on my mind (exposition - development - recapitulation), even down to keys and rhythmic changes.

thanks again!

Re: [808/bass/moist] fidelium - *.wav

Fun track. On par with a few artist that i listen to, and make tracks similar to.

Some parts that i find could use some filtering, and or some other mixing techniques that my ears want to hear differently, but hey other people are really enjoying it!

Really enjoyed the break down at the end where it got a little atari 64ish, and also the melody is really fun and silly! The juke patterns seem a little choppy, and all over the place, but it also seems like that's what you were going for.

I really enjoyed that you made this your own feel, versus just copying what other people within the trap/juke/808 world do. There are bits and pieces here and there that sound familiar, but the overall record sounds like a pretty fresh vibe.

This track almost reminds me of Dirty Monky & DMVU - Dolphin Safe at times.
