NI Battery 4 help

Trying to figure some stuff out,
Is it possible to track stuff into a daw track, and then cut it up and drag and drop onto pads in Battery?
If not, is there a software sampler that can? Other than the one that come with the DAW I guess?

Re: NI Battery 4 help

export your chops from DAW and then import into cells into Battery.

no drag and drop tho. we use drum racks for that.

Re: NI Battery 4 help

that sort of slowing of the workflow is why i went to drum racks almost exclusively.

(old man moment)

its funny though because chopping samples and getting them into my HW samplers via MIDI sample dump took AGES...

like... set up samples, prepare for import and then go get lunch, hopefully they would be finished and ready to save to zip disk or FLOPPY when i was back.

I don't think so.. try it.
A simple workaround would be to export the DAW track as audiofile into a separate folder and drag it on from Battery's browser. That's how I'd probably do it.

Re: NI Battery 4 help

Thx guys.
Yeah, I was debating getting komplete 12, I ended up getting it at a special upgrade deal and went with it after all.
I am not using Ableton live, full on into studio one 4 now. So I can drag and drop into impact xt.
I just donít want battery to go to waste.
There is a lot of stuff in komplete, pretty much too much for my uses I think. But I digress.
