Lol, that's hilarious. I was mimicking this song and even used it as a reference on the master. Good ear

I've attempted vocals but I'm no good... and apparently I can't get any technique down that doesn't burn my throat after an hour

Lol go figure. Yea it's good to figure out drum parts but in some cases they're just so unique that when you pull them off you go "oh shit still sounds like the source". Did it with Tony Danza Tap Dance extravaganza tunes from a couple different songs.

With vocals I know exactly what you mean.... So rip off the CBT/Rectal Smegma/Rompeprop method and feed them through a pitch shifter with an overdrive (at least that's what they sound like they're doing). Or go the Anaal Nathrakh method of operatic singing with clipped growling?
