Bassline slides fl studio 12

Anyone have a solution for doing bassline slides on FL studio 12? I've followed countless tutorials on youtube but it doesn't seem to work and when i try and slide it just mutes the sound...

Re: Bassline slides fl studio 12

No worries! I thought that is what you meant. I've got a couple thoughts--I bet this feature of the piano roll only works with native or Image Line synth VSTs. If you want to do this with a 3rd party synth VST, the VST will have to have a glide/glissando parameter.

If it does turn the glide up past 0%. When you overlap regular notes on the piano roll you should get a similar effect as in the video. It isn't exactly the same as a slide note, but it'll more or less get you most of the way there.

If you read the comments in the video, several commenters confirm it only works with native FL synths.

Re: Bassline slides fl studio 12

If this is for a bassline. you can use your VST's portamento. This different to glissando, and the method I use to slide basses on my hardware. Make sure you set your VST to mono, then adjust the amount of portamento for the slide speed. The length of the note will determine how long the stays up before sliding back down to the original note. If you turn the portamento to 100 percent you can get some interesting results.

Re: Bassline slides fl studio 12

not an FL user, but if the plugin does not offer any glide/portamento options then you can fake it using pitch bend and careful automation.
get in real close and automate your pitch bend to slide to the next notes pitch, then trigger the next note and reset the pitch bend at the same time.
