I'm also looking for one to buy, pretty set towards the Komplete Audio 6 though.

Re: what sound card to buy?

I have a MOTU traveller. Really happy with it. I feel it really useful in the live sets because it has 8 analog outs and so I can have more headroom when I take sub mixes out from different analog outputs. Increases the power for sure. Also has MIDI, digital i/os, 4 mic pres etc. If it fits your budget, it's quite good. Check it out.

A smaller interface is the MOTU ultralite. I know a couple of friends who use it and are quite happy.

Re: what sound card to buy?

I'm using a M-audio Profire 2626... found a good deal few years ago and appreciate it very much... Preamps are not the best on the market but sufficient, and the fact that it can be expanded through ADAT (16 channels) makes it perfect for future upgrading... this allows you to bypass the converters too, but find those fine at the moment!

Re: what sound card to buy?

First of all what OS are you using.

I would recommend Native instruments audio interface. Well I know a lot of issues are present with the windows OS (which I managed to solve)

but with mac it works very well at the end of the day for its a good deal given that the sound quality is pristine IMO

Re: what sound card to buy?

You should consider the Saffire 14 as well since it has better convertors than the USB series.
