hello...my name is terry. i like to mess around with fruity loops.
only been doing it since december.
been making some progress.
i am hoping that i can get a few pointers whereever i can.
but i guess most of my questions can be answered if i just browse the forum.
i go by the name of Cyclops Overlord, and i do more than just mess with music.
oh...and i was referred here by Skald.
i think so...
I'm Vater Unser, and I'm all the way into IDM since I've heard a Radio1 One World show with livesets from Drexiyan DJ Stingray, Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares some years ago...I'm open for most kinds of electronic music, ranging from tranquil ambient sounds to fast, f*cked up and glitchy stuff
genres I don't like are Hard House, Hardstyle, Hardcore, Gabber (all the stuff that's supposed to be hard but isn't ) and Noisecore...I also avoid most stuff that's not electronic...
I'm also into DJing, spinning mostly minimal and electro house...IDM records are just too hard to find
and I'm strongly interested in producing some tracks myself, so I hope to find some clues on where to start here
Howdy M8 My name is Ben. I live in Melbourne (now) but am from The Apple Isle originally (Tasmania).
I can't believe that I only somehow managed to stumble across this forum just the other day - glad I did! barely survived the day party with Hernan C. last weekend here in Melbourne - top notch work from the Darkbeat boys and Sunny.
My musical tastes are broadening and I am finding that I am developing my own 'style'. I recently got my own gear to practice here at h0me to improve my skills and knowledge, which I try to do as much as I can in between educating the future of this wonderful nation called 'Oz during the day.
I like anything 'progressive' with a nice groove - I am partial to vocals as well. Prefer anything on the prog, electro/tech house tip as well as some minimal.
Am here to learn more about a broader range of producers, labels and DJs. Will contribute as much as I can.
I started recently making music as a hobby.
I'm totally into Techno, Minimal and IDM. I like other genres also, except the hard styles.
Bought a lots of nice gear lately. Didn't finish tracks yet, I'm still experimenting and I LOVE IT. It makes me so happy everytime working with sound.
My favorite IDM producers are Autechre and Funckarma brothers. The brothers I know personally. Been to their studio couple of times :-)
Cool to have a forum especially for IDM lovers!!! :-)
