I always enjoy the challenge of working with odd time signatures, although not many of the songs I create with them end up anywhere....
What is your favorite non-4/4 time? (3/4 and 6/8 I consider to be pretty standard also....)
I like combining 7/8 and 15/8 due to the way it makes a song almost feel 4/4 then throws a surprise at you when the measure ends....

I like 5/8 and 7/8. Not easy to pull off though.

Any meter that multiplexes enough to confuse me is kinda fun (assuming the actual raw musical content is otherwise good). I forget who posted up this tune here, but thanks whoever you are, this tune is great, especially for the first half:

Here's a little ditty I recently cut in 13/16. Needs more work, I guess, but its mostly there.

3/4 and 5/4 are my favourite time signatures to work in. 7/8 has an even more unusual feel, but I don't go there often.
...
But above all others... 4.2/-7 time!

astroid mist... that beat is in 4/4
Dont just make a beat thats in an odd time signature for the sake of it... you have to feel it.
If i wasnt being an asshole id say my favorite time signature is 5. Listen to the mahavishnu orchestra or some mars volta if you want some felt odd time signatures.. (and for electronic music listen to Astroid Power Up)

5/4 is great fun, especially in choral music. 7/4 and 11/4 I also like.
