Re: Reaktor 6

I bought it months and months ago...a year ago? I dunno..

But I don't use it enough and it's not bc I find it not worth the $$ or whatever, I honestly just forget I have it...

My main excitement comes from digitally circuit bending other people's devices, that's a fun aspect I'm not sure many people have tried.

Any time I need really glitches out flavors, I hit up R6

Was nosing around YouTube for some monks singing (don't ask) and stumbled across this guy. Its a pretty decent tutorial on a couple of the Blocks objects.

Re: Reaktor 6

Outside of mixing plugins, Reaktor is the only vst I need. I've been building with it for about a decade now and I still learn new things every time I dig in. Such a powerful sonic playground. Have any of you guys tried composing and producing entirely inside Reaktor?

ive thought about doing it for fun, but never did. it is more than capable of performing all tasks needed from start to finish so there is no reason why it wouldnt work, it just seems like more hassle than its worth when a DAW is so easy in comparison.

these days i mostly use reaktor to build tools that take me in to a rabbit hole and never truly get finished

Re: Reaktor 6

I was fascinated by the idea of it. A couple of years ago I decided to dive in and build a proper composition environment for myself. Built a number of home-brew sequencers and a modular routing and manipulation network for them. Then I built a cool multi fx processor and a 16 channel mixer with some cool features. In between I have 16 slots for building synthesizers or sample players. Over the years I've developed a small library of instruments that are designed for the environment.

I view the jams I create with this rig as its own project. Probably too weird for most peoples taste, but sometimes its just what I want to listen to

Re: Reaktor 6

Reaktor is the best thing NI ever created. Factory library rules hard, but having Reaktor also opens the entire user's library where people build their own tools to share even for free. With version 6 blocks were introduced it all became even better because it simplified things and blueprinted a nice UI for custom ensembles. Honestly, if you feel uninspired and stuck with music just go and explore Reaktor's user library and at least get familiar with its factory stuff because it offers so much.
