dunno what route you're gonna be taking, tim, but i'd love to be try ripping oldschool uk garage-type stuff. i know we can't use female vocals and all that, but the sound is awesome. if we go down the future garage route, i'll still give it a swing.
i'm working on a track right now, but it's not quite finished yet.
It's pretty laidback and dark and melancholic, i guess it also falls rather under futer garage category (and not oldskool garage).
so I'd love to participate if you decide for the "dark side"
This one is indeed a while away, make, create, don't rush. Feel free to go for old-school garage or future garage, whichever you prefer is fine and when it comes to it I'm going to say people can submit more than one track so if you want to try both or whatever it's all good.
From the beginning I was always happy thinking the beat tapes could feature works that were already complete, on SC, whatever but it turns out they're supposed to be for all new material, so whilst it doesn't bother me I'd see what Kong says, although since we're going the all new material route I'd personally prefer it be kept private and not public if you do upload it to SC and then check with us here for feedback.
Yeah, sure. I don't mind at all keeping it private, as long as no one minds helping out with lending some ears to it via sharing a direct link or whatever. I'm happy to offer a bit of critique to anyone else's tracks if they want another angle on it. It will hopefully keep the standard as high as possible, too.
