One time, a really cool dark ambient artist kept showing up on my iPod as a square. I didn't realize at the time what that meant, but the music was really nice. Later on, I found out that my iPod just couldn't display the artist name correctly; it turned out that the artist name was a swastika.

Anyway, I didn't really care. There weren't any lyrics, and I didn't feel like I was listening to trash, even if they were promoting trash. Even some of these noise / ambient guys who have questionable lyrics don't really phase me. Half of it is designed to be offensive anyway, and there's really nothing malicious underneath it.

Seth Putnam would be proud
The Swastika is not a nazi symbol dude... Originally it's an ancient sacred symbol in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. Although other cultures used it as well -In Asia, Europe, Afrika and America, ancient rome for example..

Soo, especially when it's used in art, it doesn't necessarily have any relation to national socialism.

If the Swastika is meant to symbolize national socialism it is tilted to the side by 45 degrees with the arms pointing to the right
You might encounter fucktards who do not know this, so untilted swastikas on a wall could as well meant to represent national socoalism...

I think it's always best to read about the background first before making any judgement.

Think about the skinheads - originally a total apolitic culture, a movement of the working class - 'Skinhead is not about race, it's about class!' At least that's how it used to be...

As much as I hate to contradict you, man..you're not completely correct in what you said. It's really not as simple as saying, "If the Swastika is meant to symbolize national socialism it is tilted to the side by 45 degrees with the arms pointing to the right", because the Nazi party used it in both fashions, as this link clearly shows - [Only registered and activated users can see links. Like I said, I really do hate to counter you on this, as I totally understand where you're coming from with this..but I also think it's a fair point to say that in our time..regardless of it's origins..the Swastik is and will be forever burnt into our brains as being the symbol of the Nazi party.

I mean, the fact you are having to explain it's origins here kinda proves that point in itself.

Quite like his music, though he appears through time as a rather hateful bigot.
Well, I was only joking x

Also, in Wagner's time, Americans were keeping blacks as pets. Britain was conquering darkies the world round. And my people were busy capturing darkies and using them to catch other darkies and so on.

Wagner wasn't really controversial for his time. He pretty much held the views of the day. It's just that the people he disliked were less dark more wealthy than the people everybody else disliked.

If we're going to say Wagner is a Nazi, we have to say we are all Nazis :problemofficer:
