Mixing (horror)punk and electronics?

So I've been thinking a lot lately about how to combine my 2 favorite musics, horrorpunk and electronic, and am wondering if anyone knows of any bands that have done this, or just your thoughts if it can be pulled off at all. I know SMP and The Prodigy are labeled "cyberpunk" but its not really punk at all is it? I've never felt like any cyberpunk bands really pulled off the punk part.

I know punk has a history of sort of looking down on the use of synths, despite being founded on being against established norms, and the song structure doesn't necessarily transfer seamlessly from one genre to the other. But could it be done, and could it be done well enough to make people want to listen?

I know it would be an attempt at combining the 2 genres with the smallest fanbases ever but I can't find anything like what I'm looking for so I suppose I should try to make it.

Thoughts, ideas, etc...?

Do what you want and don't look for validation if you're interested in doing something you're really feeling inspired to do.

People are probably going to post better examples, but what came to mind right away for me for mixing punk and electronics was this band:

Oh yeah, and of course... I've heard ATR described as "cyberpunk" several times:

the sound pioneered by Misfits. SP definitely has the horror part down, the punk music part less so.

Re: Mixing (horror)punk and electronics?

That's probably the closest I've ever heard to what I'm looking for. I'll have to check out more....and try to figure out how to change the aggropunk vibe to more of a horrorpunk style. Thanks for posting this up.

Re: Mixing (horror)punk and electronics?

would Too Dark Park be considered more "HorrorPunk?" Specifically "Convulsion."

& perhaps be a little more horror than ATR? Burn Berlin Burn is a pretty good ATR album, but its also pretty straight up hardcore/ where skinny puppy always had that visceral "horror" element present (well in TDPark anyway).

maybe something in between the two?
