Noise/Breakcore/Hardcore (Submit upon completion of work)
Dear IDMf artists:
We had two submissions for this compilation this really really liked, and I'm going to contact those artists to see about doing a solo EP for them if they can come up with enough material in the same quality and style.
We will not have enough material to do a breakcore Compilation, and it saddens me to say so because I fucking love this style of music. I'll retitle the thread to reference this post.
Lastly, if you guys have tracks you were working on but couldn't finish: finish them and submit them. I'm currently looking to house some EP's so if anything the submissions can act as a demo.
To everyone, I just don't think we were meant to release a compilation for this style of music. I'm really glad we did the submissions since it highlighted two artists on the forum I didn't know produced in this style.
Thank you all for your hard work, we still have the open genre compilation due June 29th if you'd like to submit anything for that!!
Distortion is easily achieved but controlled distortion is an artform.
Noise, Breakcore, Dark soundscapes, Gabber/Hardcore. There are no BPM restrictions, but thin sounding mixes will not be accepted. Producers who work primarily in these genres (like myself) are incredibly picky. Be mindful of your mix, and your hold on the sound...
-Create a track in the style of Breakcore/Dark soundscapes/Hardcore/Gabber or Noise. Multiple submissions per user are accepted, we may use both if they're the quality we're looking for.
-Distortion is preferred but warmer tunes are also accepted, when I think of distortion I don't just think Lo-fi or crushed down, I'm talking about warmth or saturation as well.
-For copyright concern please do not submit pop-remixes, we don't need the negative attention from Record Labels. Sampled breaks and movie quotes are fine.
