Re: Preparing to do a live act
I would suggest keeping the computer in the setup so you can sequence that blofeld to it's full potential. I'd go that route as opposed to preparing samples from it for the esx.
Yes you could sequence it from the Electribe, I know, but in my experience sequencing from a DAW is much easier than doing it from the esx.
Edit: I see you are using live...it's much easier in that case.

Re: Preparing to do a live act
You might consider a MIDI sync hub. If you try to sync all that gear linearly you may run into latency issues. And obviously the Monotrons don't have MIDI so you will have to either sample them or play them live. I can only imagine you'll want your own mixer as well.

Re: Preparing to do a live act
^You also have an mbase that you have sampled with your esx right?
Would there be any benefit into taking it on stage or could he just leave it at home? I guess what I am asking is when you sampled yours did you notice a degradation in quality?

When I sampled it directly into the ESX yes, but that was my overall experience with sample with the ESX audio in. When I sampled it to my computer then onto the ESX, no...not at all. I wouldn't bother. Unless you were going to play tuned percussion or basslines with a keyboard part on the ESX or from your DAW...I see no benefit of taking it on stage. Except that the parameters "drift" on my M.Base11 by +/- 1 when playing it live. Some people might find that fluxuation desirable

Re: Preparing to do a live act
Hey Guys,
Thanks for below. I have no decision about taking mbase to club, especially due to have not posses real sampler. but in the other hand already i do not know what quality of speakers are there. In home i use KRK.
Regarding DAW, i forgot add that basic presume is using Live.
Moreover i have mixer mackie 8profx.
I have idea about setting and setup.
Worst is from artistic side.
I have blofeld 1 week and there is so many possibilities.
Soon i will link some tracks so pls give advices.
Bless you buddies.

Re: Preparing to do a live act
That mixer will probably work out pretty well, plus you do have the on board FXs, will can be useful for gluing the mix together.
You might want to see if can get to the club to do a sound check.

What do you mean you don't possess a real sampler?
Don't you have an ESX?

Re: Preparing to do a live act
What about it do you find lacking as far as the sampling goes?
Also I just checked the going rate for that akai and I think a more use friendly and capible sampler can be had for that money.
