think ff11 was for pc I think !? some online nonsense or other.
never tried it.
9 ... free of shitty anime characters !? - it was full of them no with vivi & the main character & so on !?
8 was pretty shitty in terms of story but the graphics were much better in comparison to 7 & the opening fmv video was bloody good I thought.
I know some of the snes ones have been remade for gba/nds etc which I haven't tried either but then again I kind of went off ff series after 7 as they've all been pretty shitty since even though 9 was moderately fun to play.
I tried 10/10-2/12 & 13 but I got bored halfway through 10 so gave it up, 10-2 I played about 2/3rd's of but couldn't be bothered to finish it as story was just as bad as the voice acting, 12 I didn't like the new system so didn't play much into that, 13 I borrowed & gave back a couple hours later as it was god awful.
I could mention 7-2 which wasn't really an rpg as it was more of a 3rd person action shooter which follows the story of vincent valentine from original ff7 as to shed some light on his "oooh" mysterious history/background story.

Re: Gamers, what are you playing?
ff11 is pretty damn awesome. very time consuming, though. couldn't really get anywhere without a party, which is annoying for many. and yeah, it's available for pc, ps2, and xbox 360.
last i heard most of the ff11 crowd were migrating to ff14

Re: Gamers, what are you playing?
I'm still playing 6, might play 7 next.
I didn't like 8, never seen 9, I couldn't stand 10 because of the awful bliitzball-playing main character, I'm not mentioning 11 or 14, 12 I had to skip as it was too tim-consuming then I lost interest.
FF6 together with Persona 3 are the best turn-based J-rpgs I played.
Best RPG ever Fallout 2.

Unchartered 3, finished it in 3 days
I need to stop playing games on easy mode but it really pisses me off playing the same shitty segment over and over again

I'm a fan of the old snes rpg's - not played fallout 2 or any persona games (to my recollection)
if you don't understand japanese like me then fantasyanime dot com is a good place for english translated j-rpg's for various consoles/handhelds - site includes various translation, fixes & additional content patches.
I got to play a sequel to chrono trigger from a patch which you apply over the original game.

I know what you mean...there's nothing like doing it the old way with discs in PS and your PS controller in hand
...also anyone remembers The Legend of Dragoon..I dug that out as well...loved that game...but then again going through my collection from PS1 games..I really can't say different for any of them..

Re: Gamers, what are you playing?
Finally gave in and bought Trackmania 2: Canyon.
It is, as I thought it would be, excellent. Pure, simple fun and the multiplayer is based around league tables and you race against other players (in ghost cars) on a simgle map for 5 mintues. It is very addictive...and difficult...just a slightly poor line can drop your speed and time enough to bump you far down the leaderboard.
Also love the fact the maps made by the community can be installed in about 10 seconds - 5 seconds after that you're playing them!

Re: Gamers, what are you playing?
coupons... broton and i were talking the other day and he mentioned somethign about a steam coupon. I was clueless... that was the first I'd heard of them... even though they'd been around since like christmas apparently?
but then again i'm usually clueless about happenings on steam. like in the summer there was that thingy where you were supposed to like get 'achievements' for doing stuff on steam and i guess win prizes for it or whatever, i don't think i ended up doing a single one... even thouigh it was all stuff like 'leave a comment on someone's page' and shit. x3
also somehow i was in like 12 steam groups... a couple weeks ago i left all but one, since i never talk to anybody in group chat and all the events that annoyed me by popping up all the time were for shitty modern warfare and battlefield, never any games i actually own or like. :V

You got 'awarded' and/or given coupons during the Holiday sale mayhem though they expire the 1st of March... which is why a ton of people are giving them away on Reddit.

HAH, it's not even that... i still have games form the first Humble Indie that i grabbed that i haven't played.
I'm so broke that i can't even afford games on sale. I couldn't even get the last humble indie at pay what you want price, because i wanted it on steam but now they only give you steam codes if you pay more than a dollar. :/
