What kind of music is this?
Sorry I'm new to electronic music although there are some jungle artists I like. I've been interested in some pop bands coming from Japan (Capsule, Perfume, Sawa, Immi, etc) and I'm looking for music similar. Sometimes it reminds me of Daft Punk. I like how it retains a solid melody and is still vocal-based, in contrast to some other genres I've heard, like dubstep and breakcore. I tried to find other melodic electronic music that's a bit more, dancey, for lack of a better term. I looked into happy hardcore and some of the songs I could get into but the beats were often too fast for me to stay interested. I couldn't find much info on individual artists either, and everything online seems to be DJ mixes.
I'm not sure what I'm asking. I want to find artists similar to this song (posted below), and also anything else that might appeal to someone like me. I would think people on this board would be able to point a newb in the right direction.
