thanks, this is a very good question actually
I qualify some music I do as "romantic" because it is heavily influenced by romantic and neo romantic composers such as Wagner, Bruckner, Mahler or Sibelius for example.
I've had a period in my life when I was doing nothing but working on interpretations of such music on the piano, and since then, the way I compose and create has been constantly going in that kind of sensitivity and direction. I guess you could replace "romantic" by "dramatic", the idea is to tell a story and communicate feelings in a dramatic, a little bit over the top way (not especially obvious in all my compositions)
