The problem with this idea was that it (imo) never seemed really serious.
Just set the rules, place a deadline, make sure you get submissions, artwork and do it, this could be a very unique release.
Some good ideas there, Inertia..but the problem with starting a new thread is you end up with a load of posts and few members actually tacking part..well, that's been my experience in the past.
I'm thinking this thread is old enough to have been seen by most interested parties by now..and with these new recent posts to it, then anyone who is or might be interested would have checked it out by now..or soon will and let us know they are serious about this.
Other than that and failing all else, we now have 7 members here and if we all produce something, then that could be enough to make this happen.
On the time side of things..and touch on you other post..it's a case of we will take as much time as we need to, as this would be about turning out quality work worth the label's while releasing. There is no point rushing this, as it's not a composition..just a bunch of guys on here putting together an album for release..so don't feel rushed or anything like that..we are all a little slow in our own way.
@ Stich: No worries about needing help..we are all in the same boat to some degree..you never stop learning in this game. Besides, I expect we will each be involved in this in a big way, sharing ideas and know-how back and forth until the album is finished.
One other point against starting a new thread is I don't think we should be putting this out in public until it's all done and dusted. It might be best for us to just work as a closed group once we know who we are and then take it from there.
We could set up a members private group for this right here on the forum just for those of us working on this, so nobody else..aside from admin and Mods..can read the posts we put up. We could throw stuff out in the open in such a group and thrash shit out without having to worry about other eyes reading any of it.
