Cooling bed for dogs

Hi guys, I have a Labrador dog. It worries me that she feels uncomfortable during summer due to heat. Can anyone of you recommend me a good and effective brand of cooling bed?

I have a couple of raised beds like these that they like lounging around on outside when it's hot. I'm guessing getting off the hot ground and having a bit of breeze under them feels pretty good. Mine are inside 90% of the time so I've never had the need for an actively cooled bed. The ones I've had have lasted for years outside, so I guess they're pretty durable.

It's important to point out that dogs don't regulate their body temperature the same way humans do. They pant instead of sweating. The best way to make them more comfortable is to make sure there's always cool water available and make sure the air is cool enough that their panting can evaporate the heat in their bodies.

dogs want moving air... so a decent fan or small AC will be more than enough on a bed that is raised over cool concrete. have cold water accessible 24/7 where he can get it on his own. your dog loves you for being concerned for him. not many people think past themselves. :friends:

Not a cooling bed idea, but the dog I had as a kid loved eating ice cubes in the summer. We usually also would keep a handful in his water dish all day. Not enough to make the water absolutely ice cold, but enough to keep it cool. Were we fortunate enough to be able to run central air when it got hot so the dog didn't really need a cooling bed.

If you are running A/C I think that'll be enough for a lab. We had a lab/terrier mix and he tolerated Ohio summers pretty well.

Thanks for your suggestions everyone. I found these cooling dog beds when I was searching online. Have you tried this brand? If so, is it effective in keeping your dog cool and comfortable?
